Addicted to Consoles

02.8.2010 | 8:50 pm | Technology, Personal

After my uncle gave me the play station 3 last Christmas, I couldn’t help but get addicted to the game. I always have new ps3 games for it every week and I really search the net for the new releases. My mom totally hated my uncle because it’s the only thing that I do when I got home from school. I even forget to eat and do my homework because of these games.

So, to discipline me, my mom took all my privileges including the ps3 and told me that I can only play this when I am done with every school stuff on weekdays and on weekends only. I felt like I was grounded, and it was unfair because even if I forget my homework during the day, I see to it the I finish the at night, that is, I am always late at school the next morning. But, I guess she is right. I can deal with that as long as she still lets me play.

Becoming a Mom

When I was pregnant, my ob- gyne advised me to take prenatal vitamins for my own health and for the development of my baby. Vitamin and mineral supplementation is often recommended prior to and during pregnancy. I remember that I experienced nausea when I first started taking them, but that stop after a while.

So for all pregnant women out there, choose the best prenatal vitamins for you and always remember that it’s not just about choosing the right vitamin. You still need a healthy diet. In fact, nutritious eating habits will help your body process the prenatal vitamins more effectively.

Following a Man’s Footstep

I am on my senior year now and after almost four years of thinking what I want to be, I decided just last night that I want to be a Lieutenant Colonel just like Richard Willich. I do not know him personally but I think that he is a good guy, from what the news says, well I think he is. He is the CEO of MDI holdings, one of the nation’s healthcare technology companies and they just made a healthful donation last year. Aside from being a lieutenant colonel, I think what I really want is to serve other people and serve as a role model to others just like this guy.

Bright Future

My mom kept on asking me about what degree I will take when I entered college because it is the next level and that level is much more harder than high school. She said that college life it all it takes for me to get a great job after four or five years. I also am looking forward to my future and there’s nothing I want to do after high school that go to college. I thought about that statement my mom always tells me every night because I care about my future. I had some previous experiences in summer jobs before, which my sister offered, looking at an online site, and I think I am ready for it.

Facing a New Chapter

How would you know if you are really for college after high school? I don’t know for most people but I do get this feeling that I am not ready to go our of high school anymore. What if the environment won’t fit me? What if it is not my time yet? Should I skip college and just go find a job after? Of course, if you are a parent, you will say no to my last question. Every parent wants their child to have a brighter future. So my mom dealt with me and my feelings by introducing some online universities.

She said that if I don not know yet what should the environment be in college, I can try enrolling in online schools. These schools are accredited online education institution and there are so many people doing it for it is gone popular already. I can choose an online degree of my choice and be happy about it. And during the spare time that I am out of school, I can look for a job and still stay with my parents until I am finally ready to face the world.

Getting the Information, At Last

It is really hard for me to know which insurance I am going to get. There are many questions that I need answers to but there are only few who have it online. I can’t really have face to face experience with these agents so online viewing will be a great help for me. I still don’t know yet which insurance I want and will fit me and my family and the life insurance rates to get.  When I came across this website, they almost answer my questions about the rates and which is the best insurance for me without having to talk to anyone. The information that I want knowledge from are all in that site, which you only have to click to see for yourself. Though I still am not decided which one, at least I have an idea on the routine I might want to check out.

Getting Over a Fear

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been shy to face public especially at school. I have this thing they called, public speaking anxiety. When it comes to debate, which I totally hate, I always seem very nervous and couldn’t look up front and face those people watching. I just can’t do it.

So, if there’s some contest about speaking, I don’t raise my hands for it. Let it be with those people good at it. My grand mother said that it is normal for teens, but I have to get us to it when I enter college. This can’t happen when I am there because surely, she says, I will be the talk of the town and that would be even worse. I hope I can get over this before I go to college.

Looking Back to Old Roots

04.4.2009 | 11:22 pm | General, Personal

It is been a month since we moved from the city and I really miss my friends back home. My dad needed to get out of there because she got into a fight with the homeowner’s association president and they could not resolve it anymore. We were just lucky because my dad was given his “dream job” he said in the city and we can start anew.

My brothers and sisters seemed to be happy about what had happened with my dad and the other. They really want to move out of that town and move in the big city where they can meet popular and big people. I, on the other hand, was feeling so lonesome and sad and my mom agrees with me.

So, every time I had a chance to talk with my friends or just send them greeting cards online. They have technology back home and my friends appreciate that I didn’t forget about them. That will never happen, they are my people. And even if I meet friends here, they are still my number one priority.

Pet Issues and Stuff

03.21.2009 | 5:28 pm | General, Personal

Owning a pet is a big responsibility. It is not just that you owned a pet for some reason like you want to cuddle someone, or you want to play around with him or you want to show off your pets while you are jogging down the park, but there’s more to it than meets the eyes. It is a big responsibility like you are adopting a child to give life to. To meet his every needs, shelter, food and all the things that accompany caring a pet.

I myself knew that responsibility when I adopted a stray cat on the street. I feel sorry for her because she has been roaming around wondering what to eat. So, I invited her into the house and give her some food. I said to myself that I will let her stay for a while until someone acknowledged them. I also gave her pet beds so she can be comfortable resting and sleeping. I am not a pet lover that much but I feel for them when they need help.
